Lockheed Martin Component Engineer in Littleton, Colorado

Description: A full-time core member of the PMP Standardization group as a subject matter expert in the Part, Material, Processes Database (PMPDB). Become an expert in the design tools and be able to recommend and evaluate tool enhancements. Learn the lead positions to attain knowledge continuity for a planned growth path. Maintain accurate Part, Materials and Processes (PMP) requirements in the engineering tools (PMPDB, EPDM, ERP). Perform data maintenance for Parts and Specification in the PMP Database and EPDM. Review, resolve, and prioritize requests for new items, driving Space preferred PMP selection, factoring in need and cost and ensuring the attainment of design objectives. Learn how to support PMPDB SMEs and users with database corrections and accesses. Coordinate with PMP SMEs, laboratory operations, procurement, receiving inspection and manufacturers to develop requirements to fulfill product cost and performance standards. Coordinate, organize, and work on projects to support the previous mentioned objectives (i.e. data integrity efforts and External Specification Review efforts). Work as a PMPDB point of contact in the PMAPSCO Documentation process to flow document changes into the PMPDB and EPDM. Evaluate technical and economic factors, recommending engineering and manufacturing actions for attainment of design objectives of process or product by applying knowledge of EEEE parts and mechanical fastener parts. Mentor new team members on business processes. Lead investigation of request process, simplifying user experience and team accountability.

Basic Qualifications:

-Program PMP Experience (Parts, Materials, and Processes).

-Detail oriented with problem solving ability.

-Collaboration skills – ability to work with multiple disciplines to solve problems.

-U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a government security clearance.

-An emerging authority in Electrical and Mechanical Component Engineering.

-Strong Organizational Skills

-Customer Service Focus

-Experience managing projects
