Continuous Improvement Quality Engineer
Primary leadership of the company’s quality improvement and scrap reduction activities. Works with cross functional teams to identify, prioritize and implement improvements. Provide engineering support utilizing quality based tools, such as SPC, Design of Experiments, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Corrective & Preventive Action Response methodology, and failure analysis techniques.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyzes scrap data and defect rates observed in the Final QC operation, Quality Lab, Electrical Test operations and throughout the mfg process areas
Collaborates with Operations, Process Engineering, Methods and Product Development departments to drive yield stabilization, scrap reduction and continuous improvements
Identifies and prioritizes improvement opportunities, determines root cause and implements sustainable processes/systems that address the root causes
Educates all levels of the organization in regards to (repeat) quality issues and how to effectively apply structured problem solving methodologies and tools such as SPC, DOE, Lean, and Six Sigma
Coaches & develops staff across the company
Works cross-functionally to achieve organizational goals
Leads/facilitates Kaizen events
Perform all other related duties as assigned
Strong skills in advanced data analysis, statistical process control and structured problem solving
Solid understanding of project management
Basic knowledge of PCB Manufacturing processes, technologies and products desired
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to influence
Structured problem solving, ability to assess effective implementation of corrective actions
Proficient with microscope, PC (including Office, Outlook, and SPC software), and measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing industry preferred; Minimum of 10 years of experience in process engineering/control/improvement functions
Export Statement:Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
