As a Project Engineer on the GPS III program your responsibilities will include:

•Assist the Control Account Manager (CAM) with all assigned control accounts within the GPS III BUS/Space Vehicle (SV) Integrated Product Team (IPT). These duties include leading, planning, budgeting, and managing the cost/schedule/technical performance for each assigned Control Account (CA) on all GPS III BUS and SV Integration tasks with a total dollar span of control of $650M.

•Be able to identify control account performance, elevate concerns and issues where appropriate to the CAM, including other impacted control account managers. Work to establish relationships and begin partnering with organizations (supply chain, PMP, quality, etc.) to help ensure all processes are appropriately followed and implemented to ensure smooth product flow throughout the lifecycle. Start identifying risks and opportunities to the IPT leadership team and help develop mitigation plans.

•Learn closed loop corrective action to include thorough variance analysis, monitoring of cost/schedule mitigation activities, and corrective action adjustment as necessary. Support timely and accurate insight to key program impacts or opportunities to the IPT Manager

•Contribute to all EVM assigned duties to include work authorization requests, estimate at complete review, schedule status, variance reporting, and comprehensive estimates at complete

•Help Lead initiatives to increase production throughput and workload through opportunity implementation

Basic Qualifications:

•Knowledge of program lifecycle and how early milestones may drive future costs

•General technical knowledge of flight hardware

•Desire to enhance and grow Program Management skills including communication, the ability to deal with unforeseen challenges, and building strong relationships

Desired Skills:

•Familiarity with GPS III, LM2100 Bus, and/or other Satellite programs is considered a plus

•Subcontract Program experience is considered a strong plus

•Familiarity with spacecraft or subsystem production

•Strong problem solving, root cause, corrective action, and closure skills

•Ability to Lead discussions and determine resolutions to problems

•Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively with customer

•Accept responsibility, accountability to ensure cost, schedule, and technical success

•Previous CPE and / Or CAM or project lead experience a plus

•Previous Proposal, BOE, & Negotiations experience a plus

•Demonstrated experience in complex issues or problems to successful closure
