Lockheed Martin is looking for a dedicated, creative, and forward thinking engineer to lead development of an on board processing subsystem. This role will be responsible for leading all aspects of the subsystem design, development, integration, test, and verification activities including requirement development and flow-down, internal and external subsystem interface definition, leading the design effort through multiple critical program milestones (SRR, PDR, CDR), developing subsystem test and verification plans, and successful execution of the test and verification activities to deliver a cutting-edge radar payload. Good communication skills are required for this high visibility position. This position is expected to necessitate domestic travel at approximately 25% time. Candidates must have bachelor’s degree and 9 years practical experience or a master’s degree with 7 years practical experience.

•Experience designing and delivering space processing hardware (e.g. digital signal processors) with demonstrated ability to communicate well with stakeholders both internal and external, including customers, management, and peers
•Experience in leading technical development through all multiple product lifecycle phases (SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, verification)
•Experience defining technical plans and approaches to meet program goals
•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
•Must have a TS/SCI clearance
•Experience designing and delivering radar processing hardware or algorithms
•Experience translating mission-level processing objectives and requirements into hardware, software, and firmware requirements and implementations
•Experience with one or more of the following radar processing areas
•Moving target indicator radar
•Synthetic aperture radar
•High range resolution radar
•Automated Target Recognition
•Master’s Degree or higher education in a relevant discipline
