As an NVE SSD Validation Engineer within the Enterprise Solid State Drive (SSD) Engineering group at Micron Technology, Inc., you are responsible for taking solid state drives from design to high volume manufacturing. For this position, you are required to have good communication, documentation, leadership, problem solving skills, and very good English verbal and written skills. It is also essential that you have the ability to work in a team environment and work and maintain good relationships with worldwide suppliers and customers. You must have the ability to drive engineering efforts through all aspects of new product development and system level debug. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Performing firmware test and validation, power and performance characterization, manufacturing support and customer support.
Development and execution of SSD test suites.
Performing SSD failure analysis to root cause.
Successful candidates for this position will have:
Knowledge of storage protocols SATA, SAS and PCIe.
Knowledge of storage command sets ATA, SCSI and NVMe.
Thorough understanding of logic analyzers, bus analyzers and digital scopes.
Understanding of an Object Oriented Programming language; Python preferred.
Familiarity with Windows and Linux
Ability to analyze problems, diagnose to root cause, and apply corrective actions.
