SUMMARY:The Systems Engineer reports to the Program Manager on the program he/she issupporting and works in concert with the Project Engineer and lead functionalengineers in execution of the program. The Systems Engineer is the technicallead of the engineering team and is the Program Manager's technical liaison.The Systems Engineer is responsible for decomposition of requirements,generation and allocation of specifications, control documents, plans andreports in support of the development. The Systems Engineer supports programsfrom the early phases of program capture through integration and test. TheSystems Engineer should have intimate knowledge of the product technology anda good working knowledge of the associated engineering disciplines.Principal Systems Engineer (Space Segment IPT Lead)SUMMARY:The Principal Systems Engineer (Space Segment IPT Lead) reports to theProgram Manager on the program he/she is supporting and works in concertwith the lead functional engineers and IPT leads in execution of the program.The Principal Systems Engineer (Space Segment IPT Lead) is the technicallead of the Space Segment IPT Team which oversees both spacecraft bus andpayload design, development, integration and test. The Principal SystemsEngineer (Space Segment IPT Lead) works closely with the Program ChiefEngineer to achieve the technical objectives of the program. Additionally thePrincipal Systems Engineer (Space Segment IPT Lead) is responsible for theCost Accounting Management of the Space Segment IPT. The Principal SystemsEngineer (Space Segment IPT Lead) is responsible for decomposition ofspace segement requirements, generation and allocation of specifications,control documents, plans and reports in support of the development.Additionally the Principal Systems Engineer (Space Segment IPT Lead) isresponsible for the design, integration and test and operations aspects ofthe space segment (To include payload and spacecraft bus). The PrincipalSystems Engineer (Space Segment IPT Lead) supports programs from theearly phases of program capture through integration and test, as well aslaunch and operations. The Principal Systems Engineer (Space Segment IPTLead) should have intimate knowledge of the product technology and a goodworking knowledge of the associated engineering disciplines.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Working closely with the Program Chief Engineer, and Payload provided leadthe design, development, integration and test, and operations of theprogram Space ElementWork directly with the Program Manager and Chief Engineer to ensure thesuccessful technical, schedule, and cost execution of the SystemsEngineering & Mission Analysis cost accountSupport the engineering team on refining the system architecture during allphases of the system lifecycleLead Integrated Product Team(s) activities, documents meetings andtracks action itemsWork closely with the chief engineer and manufacturing in developing theEngineering Program Plan (EPP)Originate specifications, control documents, verification and validationplans, procedures, reports, or other documentation in support of designand development activitiesWork with other Engineers to implement operating procedures, resolve systemissues and provide technical informationSupport the chief engineer in tracking the EPPPrepare material for, and conduct periodic design reviewsExecute engineering design and development activities consistent with Customerquality, cost and schedule requirementsEnsure that all specifications, designs and developments adhere to SNCstandards and customer requirementsProvide support in the development and maintaining of configuration baselinesfor systems and sub-systemsADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Follow SNC policies, procedures and work instructions for all technicalactivitiesPunctuality to work each day and prepared to work scheduled work hoursOther duties as assignedCOMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for thoughtful adherence to all SNC Policies, Proc
