Requirements

Capella Is looking for an energetic lead electrical test engineer to help plan, develop, and execute test plans and procedures relating to validation and verification of ground and flight electrical hardware.As the lead of this team you will have to plan, develop, and execute testing regimes for flight hardware.In this position you will be a key member of a small group of engineers responsible for testing the core avionics of the satellite. You will work directly with the Electrical Engineering team and Integration and Testing (I&T) team. You will play a key role In developing and maintaining engineering process and configuration management documentation.

Desired Qualifications (Not All Are Expected):

  • 7+ years experience as an Electrical Test Engineer

  • Broad general electrical engineering knowledge

  • Ability to design, build, and maintain hardware testing environments

  • Experience debugging PCBA's, assemblies, and cable harnesses

  • Understanding of hardware evaluation methodologies, including development of test cases/suites, performance analysis, test automation, and data analysis

  • Expert knowledge of oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, and other test equipment

  • Expert knowledge of the PCBA fabrication and assembly process

  • Familiarity with electronic CAD tools

  • Soldering and rework skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Excellent documentation and communication skills

  • Experience with Python and Ruby

  • Validation/Verification experience

  • Ability to understand an embedded electronics architecture and Identify Its strengths and weaknesses from a testing standpoint

Required Qualifications:

  • This position requires special access to conduct the work and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
