Position Summary
The DevOps Engineer is a key member of OTT HydroMet’s DevOps team, reporting directly to the Sr. Manager of LEADS Solutions. DevOps Engineer is responsible for installing, configuring, training and maintaining customer and factory production systems. The DevOps engineer works with a team to cover IT, Networking, Test, Application and System engineering areas. The DevOps engineer also assess software quality through manual and automated testing. You will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches. In this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. If you are also competent in executing test cases and are passionate about quality, we’d like to meet you.
Essential Functions
Collaborate with DevOps, Test and Software Engineers plus customers to develop effective strategies and test plans
Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results
Review and analyze system specifications
Evaluate product code according to specifications
Create logs to document testing phases and defects
Report bugs and errors to development teams
Help troubleshoot issues
Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
Basic installation, configuration and training or our software products
Basic IT and system maintenance
Education, Background and Skill Requirements
BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field preferred
Meteorology knowledge is a plus but not required
The ability to work remotely
The ability to learn basic installation, configuration and training or our software products
Basic LINUX scripting
Basic experience as a QA tester or similar role
Experience in project management and QA methodology
Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus
Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
Attention to detail

Strong organizational skills
Analytical and Problem Solving skills to clearly define problem statements, identify where problems exist, drive to the root cause and execute both temporary and permanent solutions.

Languages: English required, second language is a plus
Travel: Up to 25 % including international travel (likely 5%)
Participate in on-call DevOps on a rotating 24/7 basis (extra stipend when on-call)
The salary range for this role is 60K - 70K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
