Trane/Ingersoll Rand Advanced Manufacturing Engineer in Pueblo, Colorado

POSITION: Advanced Manufacturing EngineerDUTIES: Advanced Manufacturing Engineer you will design and developmanufacturing processes and systems focused on exceeding quality, cost andschedule requirements within the manufacturing organization. Develop anddefine concepts and processes for, and integral to, new product andproduct enhancement programs, coordinating and integrating specializedprocesses into a lean manufacturing environment* Develop and define concepts and manufacturing processes for, and as anintegral part of, all new product introductions and product enhancementprograms, using advanced engineering techniques such as DFM/DFA (Designfor Manufacturability and Assembly), FMEA, 3P (Production,Preparation Process), 7-Ways, and Lean Six Sigma Methodology.* Evaluate and implement innovative, cost effective, safe, manufacturingprocesses and techniques which will improve the effectiveness of themanufacturing operations and business systems.* Develop manufacturing planning, initial tooling requirements and costs,capability requirements, control plans, and assessments, whichfacilitate the definition and specification of the manufacturing processes.* Provide technical expertise and leadership for the timely resolution ofmanufacturing process and product design problems. Serve as a resource forcause/effect analyses, investigations, statistical studies, andcorrective action planning.* Develop and implement manufacturing flows, work station layouts andorganization, and station controls, which optimize value addedoperations, operating costs, and product / process quality.* Integrate closely with various functional team members collaborating whileenhancing design for manufacturability and ease of integration tomanufacturing facility.REQUIREMENTS:* Bachelor's Degree required* At least 1 year of related experienceOTHER REQUIREMENTS:* New product development understanding.* Project management exposure.* Knowledge of quality at the source and design for manufacturing/assemblytechniques.* Knowledge of life cycle cost analysis, dimensional capability analysis,and capacity analysis.* Exposure to key manufacturing techniques including fabrication, precisionassembly, and weld fabrication* Knowledge of OSHA, environmental, electrical, and compliance standards.* Good planning and organization/work management skills.* Familiarity with 3D Modeling software and Productivity software programs* Aptitude for mechanical/electrical application as related toequipment/processes.* Problem assessment and problem solving skills.* Familiarity with Six Sigma and other analytical processes* Background Check and Drug TestingPREFERRED SKILLS:* Bachelor's Degree Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferredWAGE: Negotiable DOESHIFTS: Discuss with EmployerJOB SITE: Pueblo, CO Industrial ParkBENEFITS: Company benefit packageAPPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: If you meet the minimum requirements for thisposition, please click on How to Apply' to view application information.You must be registered with Connecting Colorado to view the applicationinformation (registration is available at no cost).
