Project Controls Engineer

job summary:

Seeking a Project Controls Engineer for a long term project in Pueblo, CO. This role will start immediately and will support overall risk management, cost and scheduling from planning through all implementation phases of project. Qualified candidates will have a degree in Construction Management or Engineering and 10+ years of experience in project controls (both cost and scheduling). This project is slated to last about three years and per diem is offered for non-local candidates.

work hours: 6am to 4pm

responsibilities:

  • Plan, design and implement overall project risk management

  • Evaluate past risk management practices

  • Track all project issues as they relate to the risk register and mitigation efforts

  • Review contracts and purchase orders from a risk perspective for all owner contracts, purchases and services agreements

  • Participate in change control process

qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business or equivalent field experience

  • 10+ years of experience in project controls with a background in both cost and schedule, preferably with large industrial projects

  • Hands-on proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Point and Access as well as experience with Primavera Project Planner (P6) and MS Project, required; additional experience with databases an asset

  • Ability to consolidate independently generated project data effectively with cross-functional teams

  • Excellent team player, strong ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with employees and members of management
